Mission Valley is a large area centrally located in San Diego. It is located just north of the I-8 and the 163 traverses it down the middle. It’s central location guarentees that you’ll never be far from whatever you may need, be it shopping, entertainment, transportation, or work. The San Diego Trolley System has several stops throughout the valley with the Green Line connecting residents to Downtown and connections to the Orange and Blue Lines.
Mission Valley is home to several shopping malls ringed by big box stores and chain restaurants. And the San Diego State Aztecs play football at SDCCU Stadium.
It was named for California’s first Spanish mission, San Diego de Alcalá, established in 1769 and still operating as a Catholic parish in a reconstructed building.
